  • These plugins allows you to connect your LOW Industries devices to your SmartBots!
  • Using a bot is the only way, in Second Life, to send automatic direct invitations (direct invitations don’t require the user to click a link to the group window and choose “Join group”: they will just get a popup and will be able to join the group with just one click even if the group is not open-enrollment!).
  •  A device connected to a bot is able to send to the avatars automatic direct invitations to a groups.
  • To use the services of SmartBots, you need to subscribe to their services (visit www.mysmartbots.com for more info).
  • The costs of the subscription depends only on SmartBots, not on LOW Industries.

Attention

These are plugins for other devices, which are sold separately.
To use these plugins, you must have at least a bot from SmartBots, so you must be registered on their website.
Prices of the bots are set by SmartBots and are not paid to LOW Industries.

Manual & Resources

The SmartBots plugin for ‘The Great’ Greeter allows to automatically invite to your group, with direct invitations, the visitors of your land.
Visitors will be able to join your group even if it’s not open-enrollment.

To install the SmartBots plugin for ‘The Great’ Greeter:

  1. Be sure you have a profile on the SmartBots website and an active bot.
  2. Rez and configure ‘The Great’ Greeter as explained in its manual.
  3. Copy into the contents of your Greeter the script and the configuration notecard included with the purchase of the plugin.
  4. Edit the notecard of the plugin to set the configuration parameters of the bot.
  5. Reset the Greeter. Done!

NOTE: To use the plugin you must have at least a bot from SmartBots, so you also must be registered on their website.

The SmartBots plugin for ‘The Excellent’ AD Board allows to automatically invite to your group, with direct invitations, the tenants of your AD Boards.
Tenants will be able to join your group even if it’s not open-enrollment.
The bot can also eject the tenants from the group when their rental expires.

To install the SmartBots plugin for ‘The Excellent’ AD Board:

  1. Be sure you have a profile on the SmartBots website and an active bot.
  2. Rez and configure ‘The Excellent’ AD Board as explained in its manual.
  3. Copy into the contents of your AD Board the script and the configuration notecard included with the purchase of the plugin.
  4. Edit the notecard of the plugin to set the configuration parameters of the bot.
  5. Reset the AD Board. Done!

NOTE: To use the plugin you must have at least a bot from SmartBots, so you also must be registered on their website.

The SmartBots plugin for ‘The Mighty’ Teleporter allows to automatically invite to your group, with direct invitations, the tenants of your Teleporter.
Tenants will be able to join your group even if it’s not open-enrollment.
The bot can also eject the tenants from the group when their rental expires.

To install the SmartBots plugin for ‘The Mighty’ Teleporter:

  1. Be sure you have a profile on the SmartBots website and an active bot.
  2. Rez and configure ‘The Mighty’ Teleporter as explained in its manual.
  3. Copy into the contents of the Destination Teleporter the script and the configuration notecard included with the purchase of the plugin.
  4. Edit the notecard of the plugin to set the configuration parameters of the bot.
  5. Reset the Teleporter. Done!

NOTE: To use the plugin you must have at least a bot from SmartBots, so you also must be registered on their website.

The Group security code must be written in the configuration notecard of the plugin.

It is a secret number you choose and it is used to connect your SmarBot to the devices.
This code can be set (and found, if you set it in the past) in your dashboard on the SmartBots website:

  1. Log into your profile on the SmartBots website.
  2. In your Dashboard you’ll see the name of the group and the number of members: move the mouse on the number.
  3. Now click on “Group Security Code” in the menu.
  4. You will be able to set the code or copy it from the textbox.

NOTE: The guide above is indicative. SmartBots may change their website without any notice, so the steps might be different.
